“Allie recently did pet sitting for my two labs, Lucy and Ellie. We couldn’t have been happier with her service. We came home after a long weekend to happy pups. Our older dog is almost 14 years old and has hip problems–needs help getting up and down the deck steps twice a day plus she is on four different medications. So it was very important to us to have someone who was able to handle a 65 pound dog up and down steps and give her the medication she needed twice a day. I was researching pet sitters online and they all seem good but then I found a flyer about Allie’s Wag’n Tails. She lives in my neighborhood which was a big plus as well as her experience with pets as both a vet tech and a groomer. Allie is a small business owner who knows what she’s doing. She loves animals, and she is very calm and patient with pets. She comes for a visit to meet your pets first to learn their routine. She’s amazing and will use her again. “Allie took care of our two dogs over a ten day period while we were on vacation. We had never used a pet sitter before but felt the need because our big guy became too stressed at the kennel. Allie took the time to visit our dogs prior to us leaving so that I knew they were comfortable with her. They loved her immediately (our terrier is not always open to new people) and seemed to know she understood them. She has a wealth of knowledge about dogs and their needs and behaviors. “Vacations should be all about relaxing and enjoying your family. Leaving our four legged family members behind use to be accompanied with much anxiety. Max our Golden Retriever was our foster dog that we welcomed into our family, offering him a forever home. We adopted Max when he was three years old so he came with some “baggage,” fear issues. It was difficult to find a kennel to meet our needs as Max had not been socialized with other dogs. A few years later we adopted a kitten, six weeks old. Eventually we were able to find a kennel to take Max, but we noticed our cat did not do well being alone. Thankfully Allison came along. We were able to leave Max and Kasper at home together. They both were so much happier. Allison knew that my goal was to one day see Max playing with other dogs. Allison was instrumental in providing a safe environment to introduce Max to other dogs. Allison has a Sixth Sense when it comes to animals. She is patient and understanding of their challenges. Allison has been taking care of Max and Kasper for five years. She is comfortable with any circumstances that may arise including illnesses that may come about while away. She keeps us informed and has always handled the situation appropriately.
